Superb shots of the Barn Owl, one of my favourite birds. We get a surprising number here in Suffolk. I rarely saw owls when we lived in South Wales.What a wonderful part of the world you have as your local patch (we lived in Newcastle many years ago - miss it still). Thank you so much for your generous help with the Ruff. Fascinating information. I was also interested in your birder (v. twitcher) definitions.
